I own the prior cassette tape version of this book and have listened to it several times as a motivator to work on my environment. As my personal life went through numerous transitions in the past 12 years, I have turned to this book repeatedly. I was so excited to see the tapes updated and now on my favorite form of listening via Audible with more information.The audio version seems to work best for me with the now Kindle version as back up since I find her voice soothing, yet motivating. Books were easily lost in all I owned. Using Clearing Your Clutter with Feng Shui, I have gone from a large home for my family of 4, through a difficult divorce while launching my children into the world & downsizing to a smaller house that suited my single and physical needs. I honestly only moved on post the divorce once I was ready to let go of the physical things tied to my former marriage and family life. I actually sent so much for donation at one point I had declutter exhaustion and stagnated both physically and emotionally. With some physical remodeling (a hip replacement) and some physical remodeling on the house, I began to clear things again. I have gone through singledom, remarriage and having a blended family with step children to launch. Who know I would be repeating those experiences? Only this time with joy since I have done it once through hard times, I know how much easier I can help my stepchildren through the good times.Now my husband and I are once more clutter clearing as we make my bachelorhood house a warm blended family home. Recently remodeling the bathroom which bordered between fame and reputation with love & relationships, a known small mold problem, turned out to be a large one as the bathroom was torn out completely and rebuilt. This has lead to much needed improvements in health and the house feels entirely different. This past week, he worked on the career area tearing out carpet that needed to be removed due to age and a difficult pet. The area still needs shelving and work, but the energy flow keeps increasing the vibrations of the house and inhabitants. I am so excited to see what else opens in our lives. We both are restarting later in life and we both are so much happier in this marriage than our failed first marriages. Our children see our happiness and it is making the entire blended family with children launched and needing launched easier.I highly recommend this book and you can test for yourself how these principles work. I am listening once again and will actually get my house to were it needs to be for our joint futures. All the prior work was in progress, but never completed. So much groundwork had to be done first. Also my mother passed recently. She was a hoarder who survived the great depression and of Irish descent. So as my brother and I decluttered her place, I am proud that I often said no and let go of the emotional attachments of her physical belongings without adding hardly anything to my space. We donated her clothes and furniture to the Church, which blessed several families from what she was sure would be worth a money.We have proven cleanliness is next to Godliness is more than a saying as the energy keeps rising in our home. This alone has been worth the mental peace and happiness. I am watching to see the effect the career change has in store for me. You will wish to listen/read and prove it for yourself.
I wanted to get this book but it's only an ebook so once I got my kindle it was my first purchase. I have the earlier version and have probably give away 25 books to other people. I kept it in my car glovebox as something to read if I got stranded anywhere. Can't count how many times I read it! This one is updated with current technology included but the original excellent book is still in there. Every Time I read it I enjoy it again! It teaches and it's painless learning! And the clearing does produce results - immediately! I've found money, had people pay me back money that I Never thought I'd see, gotten money back from insurance, found foreign money I'd forgotten about... and gotten new opportunities that just "came out of nowhere" after a clutter clearing session. Love it!!!
IF YOU ARE THE MOST METICULOUSLY TIDY person this book is well worth a read.If you are not the tidiest you'll find positive help in a read.If you are a hoarder this book could be amazing in a quest to tidy up your act ..... it could be your salvation.Perhaps you aren't even interested in CLEARING YOUR CLUTTER - THIS IS STILL AN INSPIRATIONAL BOOK..Probably a real plus is that you only need to read one chapter and you will feel positively energised and ready to achieve great things.As you enjoy this book and act on the clearly documented advice you will feel huge weights lifted off you shoulders and fresh enthusiasm generated.An excellent and well written book. Highly recommended.

this was a great book, although I don't really bellieve in feng shui, it was not "woowo staff". it was very practical and logical to all that it says. it helped me not only declutter, but also raise my economic incoming, piece of mind and body health at the same time. I also wanted to let you all know that the writter is an amazing very easy to contact person. I found her through facebook for a question I had on the book, and I got a direct, and very human answer the same day.
She shows you things that one will never even think of. Helps you to get rid of your unnecessary things. This book not only helped me physically but also energetically. Easy read. Highly, highly recommend!
I've read so many "How to declutter books" that I was needing intervention on how to declutter books/ebooks. After reading "Clear your clutter with Feng Shui" it was like the light bulb finally went off and had so much inspiration from Karen Kingston's suggestions - it was a fantastic feeling. I slow down and that's ok. Now to get out the chair reading and get to work! Thank you Karen Kingston for the swift kick in the right direction.
