My book came in a great condition, brand new. It was wrapped in it's original film wrap and placed in one of those thick yellow envelop.The book is really helpful if you read through most of it, which is what I had to do for my TESOL program. It provides lots of examples and ideas of how to approach certain teaching methods or classroom problems/management.All in all, you will not regret buying this book and learning how to teach the English language.
The DVD that does not work at all, though the book is good. I bought this for an online class with weekly deadlines, and now I am unable to do the DVD portion of the work. And because I bought this book online, I have no way to turn it around before my grade drops for not doing that part of the work. I'm not happy at all with the lack of quality of the DVD. I use a Mac and this DVD should work in it, as my other DVDs do.
I agree with 90 percent of what I read in this book, which is the best guide I've seen for teaching ESL. Contains the rationale behind so many of our practices, from group work to extensive reading/listening. I would think every ESL teacher has read it, but from what I observe in the field, not enough have. I recommend this book.
I liked the book overall but I wish it was by an American-English author. Many nuances are list in translation.
Excellent book. I've been teaching English for a couple of years and went through this cover to cover over the summer break. Great reflection and lots of points of action to take into the new teaching year as well as recommendations for further reading.
An excellent resource for all ESL teachers. It contains lots of practical ideas in all macro skills. The author is highly respected in this field. I find I am continually returning to it for ideas.
The CD that was supposed to be in it was not in it. Irritating as there are assignments on it that are needed for class. Kind of a waste. Should have been notified if the CD was not in the book.
Very informative for the ones planning to take the BRIGDE Course and also are new to Teaching - A Must have book. Delivery was done in time.
